Moving Through The Holidays
For many of us, the winter holidays are a time of traveling, visiting friends or family, and busy social schedules. Amidst all of this, it’s easy to fall out of our usual workout habits. Don’t wait until the new year to recommit to exercise — keep moving through the holidays!
Out Of Your Element
If you’re away from home or off your usual schedule, your workout routine often take the biggest hit. How do you keep exercising when you don’t have your usual equipment handy, or you’re used to doing your workouts at a specific time and place? Now is a time to get creative and get in a workout when you can with what you have! As with so many things, scheduling a specific time for your workout is key. Make a game plan ahead of time to set yourself up for success.
If you’re a yogi, look for online classes or find a local studio in your travel destination you’d love to try. A quick Google search will show you nearby CrossFit or other functional fitness gyms. If you’re a runner, check out the weather and local routes before you go. Walking is a great way to explore a new place — even better if you can bring along a pet or a friend!
